Privacy Policy of G1Soft

G1Soft (“the Company”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) establishes and discloses this Privacy Policy in accordance with Article 20 of the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea to protect the personal information of users (“Users”) and to ensure that any related complaints are handled promptly and smoothly.


1. Purpose of Processing Personal Information

We process personal information for the following purposes. Personal information is not used for purposes other than those listed below. Should the purpose of use change, we will take necessary steps such as obtaining separate consent in accordance with Article 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act.

  • Maintaining and managing user accounts

  • Identity verification under restricted identity verification regulations

  • Verifying the identity of the complainant

  • Checking the details of the inquiry

  • Contacting Users for fact-checking and notifications

2. Retention and Use Period of Personal Information

  1. We retain and use personal information within the period specified by law or within the period agreed upon by the User at the time of collection.

  2. The retention period for each type of personal information is as follows:

1) Membership Registration and Management

  • Retained until the user withdraws membership

  • However, the following cases are exceptions:

    • If an investigation or inquiry is in progress due to a violation of relevant laws: retained until the investigation/inquiry is completed

    • If there is an outstanding debt or credit relationship related to service use: retained until settlement is completed


3. Rights and Obligations of Users and How to Exercise Them

Users may access, correct, or delete their personal information at any time and may request membership withdrawal.

1) Access/Correction/Withdrawal

  • Available through Profile → Edit Profile.

  • Users may also contact the Personal Information Manager via writing, phone, or email, and we will take action without delay.

2) Request for Correction of Errors

  • If a user requests correction or deletion of inaccurate information, we will not use or provide the information until correction or deletion is completed.

  • Rights may be exercised through a legal representative or an authorized agent. In such cases, a power of attorney form (as designated in the enforcement rules of the Personal Information Protection Act) must be submitted.

  • Users must not infringe upon the privacy or personal information of others or violate relevant laws.


4. Items of Personal Information Processed

1) Membership Registration and Management

  • Required: Email address, password, username (ID), display name (nickname)

  • Optional: Introduction, region/location

2) Information Generated During Service Use

Collected as entered or generated by the User:

  • Location information

  • Device token

  • Mobile OS information

  • Service usage logs

3) Automatically Collected Information

  • Cookies


5. Destruction of Personal Information

  1. We destroy personal information without delay when the retention period expires or the purpose of processing is achieved.

  2. If retention is required by other laws, the information will be transferred to a separate database or stored in a different location.

  3. The procedures and methods of destruction are as follows:

1) Destruction Procedure

  • Personal information subject to destruction is identified, reviewed, and destroyed with approval from the Personal Information Protection Officer.

2) Destruction Method

  • Electronic files: permanently deleted using methods such as low-level formatting so that the data cannot be recovered

  • Paper documents: shredded or incinerated


6. Measures to Ensure the Safety of Personal Information

We take the following technical and administrative measures to prevent loss, theft, leakage, alteration, or damage of personal information.

1) Protection Against Hacking and Malware

  • Regular data backups to prevent data damage

  • Use of up-to-date antivirus software

  • Use of encrypted communication to securely transmit personal information over networks

2) Minimization and Training of Staff

  • Access to personal information is restricted to authorized personnel only

  • Regular training to ensure compliance with personal information handling policies


7. Use of Cookies

1) Purpose of Cookies

We use cookies to provide personalized services and to store User preferences.

Examples:

  • Saving name and email when leaving comments (stored for 1 year)

  • Temporary cookies to check browser compatibility with login

  • Cookies for login sessions (stored for 2 days or 2 weeks if “Remember Me” is selected)

  • Cookies added when editing or publishing posts (store only the post ID)

2) Cookie Management

3) Consequences of Refusing Cookies
